Call for Nominations: HDI Analyst/Desktop Support Technician of the Year!

In a recent survey of IT leaders, 55 percent of CIOs were concerned with employee retention. And yet, when asked about employee recognition and retention, only 50 percent said they had a formal strategy.

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills

Rules and Guidelines for Nomination

  • Nominees will be contacted by a Steel City Officer after their nomination form is submitted.
  • Nominees will be asked by HDI Steel City to complete a short phone interview to demonstrate their service excellence.
  • Nominees who fail to complete the interview will receive zero points in that category.
  • At least one person from the nominee's company must be a member of HDI.
  • Nominations may be made by managers, peers, customers, or support personnel.
  • There is a limit of two nominees per company, per award, and all nominations must be approved by the department manager.
  • The Steel City local chapter winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony and Holiday Party in December.



Nominees at the local chapter level and will compete against other nominees from their chapter for these awards. Each local chapter winner will then compete against other local chapter winners from their region. Regional winners will then compete at the national level, which is judged at the HDI Annual Conference.
